Meet Your Coaches

Aush Chatman
Hyrox CoachCoach Aush has been coaching athletes and fitness enthusiasts since 2007. Aush’s history with coaching athletes to victory in HYROX began quite simply: In the summer of 2022, 10 or so Invictus Fitness members from the 6am class he coaches approached him about helping them prepare for their HYROX race. Aush knew next to nothing about what HYROX was, but he is a phenomenal coach and expert programmer, and their respect and trust in him as a coach made it a no-brainer for them that he was their guy! With some slight badgering he agreed to coach a special HYROX Saturday morning class for the group up until their event. Aush will tell you a LOT of lessons were learned with that first group!
Aush’s care for those he coaches drove him to immediately immerse himself into all things HYROX. Studying the event and determining what it would take to develop a plan to not just participate in HYROX, but to kick BUTT!
The rest as they say is history, over the course of the past 2.5 years Aush and the HYROX crew at Invictus have tallied up some really strong finishes and a lot of FUN and Camaraderie. Notable finishes include a 1st place for female 25-29, 1st place for 25-29 men’s double GoRuck, and three 3rd place finishes for mens double 30-39/40-49. Sending one men’s doubles to World’s in the UK in 2024!
Fun Fact: That first Saturday was August 20, 2022, but YOUR Day One Week One workout was the original crew’s 2nd workout from Aush programmed on Aug 27th, 2022.

What is Hyrox?Â
Hyrox is a fast growing and very challenging fitness race. Each Hyrox event across the globe is run the exact same way. The event consists of 8 1,000 meter runs each followed by a different fitness station. In Hyrox you run, jump, pull, push, hinge, and squat your way to the finish line. Fastest across wins! Hyrox has been designed to be accommodating for both fitness professionals and everyday gym goers.
Why should I do a Hyrox Training Program?Â
Oftentimes we can find ourselves in a place where our workouts lack purpose. Many of us start with weight loss or strength gaining goals, but those can start to dim over time. Having a GOAL or COMPETITION to train for can be a tremendous spark to keep ourselves committed and motivated to stay consistent with our health and fitness journey. The Hyrox event is a great way to give yourself that goal and purpose to invigorate your training. When you decide to race in Hyrox you will immediately give yourself a goal and purpose and you can find FUN with your exercise regimen!
What is the beginner program?
Our beginner program is for those who have not been active for a while but are willing to take on the challenge of the Hyrox Event. We will gradually guide you through a program designed to build your Aerobic Engine and Endurance, so that you are fully capable of completing the Hyrox.
What is the intermediate/advanced program?
Our intermediate and advanced track are for those Hyrox athletes looking to take their Hyrox race to the next level. In this program we drill down into each event. We want you to build virtuosity in every piece of the Hyrox Event. From rowing technique work to running, to sled pull strength. This program will help you develop mastery so that you have an edge and full confidence on race day.
