Hey everyone. When scaling the weight for the thrusters (175 is too much for me), should the target be to select a weight that we can do 5 reps unbroken? or is it ok to go heavier and split them up?

At first I thought easy day only two movements! How wrong…
Thrusters were slow and heavy (heaviest I have done in a wod so far) but pull ups slowed me down
I put a 15 min cap on myself today. I thought about scaling the wt but wanted to tackle the 115. I got 5 rounds +2.
Most rounds were like 4.75 thrusters:) But this did help with my barbell cycling when using a heavy weight.
My workout partner did the wod my class did. She said to just tell her if I needed anything mid wod, I just told her that if my uterus fell out mid wod, to kick it out the door into the snow. I dont need it anymore, lol! (Btw…it didn’t fall out)

11:11 rx…unbroken sets but rest between rounds…also strict pullups – I haven’t yet learned to kip or butterfly

Unbroken!!! Nice and very mentally tough of you to set out to accomplish that task.

Treated it as a E90sec for the first 5 rounds, split all pu’s 5/5 except for the final round. Did the last two rounds in ~1:45.

I’d shoot for a weight you can go unbroken with in the first few sets. You might need to break later on.

I once had a lady stop me in the parking lot while I was pushing a sled to tell me that I was damaging my uterus. 🙂

10:17 with thrusters at 115. Heaviest I’ve gone with thrusters during a WOD so I was happy. Kudos to you rx’ing this one–175 must be no joke!
