My legs are smoked even though I didn’t even work out yesterday trying to rest them. I had a Monster drink, which I’m pretty sure count as doping. I don’t regret it one bit.
A. New PR 125lb. I think I’ll probably break it next time. Really starting to get under the bar and working on my balance which I I’m pretty sure is my main limiting factor.
B. 11:36. 95lb snatch. Did all reps as squat snatches to work on form. Totally blew through the handstand push-ups like nothing. That’s got to be the Monster Energy Drink kicking in.
A. So worked from 55# – 100# – matched my previous PR. Tried 105, but it wasn’t there today.
B. I subbed Wall climbs 4-3-2.

It was either 5:15 or 6:15.
I was completely distracted by the games that someone turned on on their phone. So I promptly forgot my time.
Then I screwed around and worked on Butterfly Pull ups, did 10 strict pull ups and then I just randomly decided to try a bar muscle up and was shocked when I got it. Then I got 2 more. SUPER excited about that!
I’m scared of snatches! Shoulder feeling good (after several old dislocations) but afraid to push it with these solo in garage. So, did a quick benchmark and added DB snatches which I am comfortable with.

I feel you Ryan. Started Crossfit in my garage this year on my 40th b-day in May. A few painful days but my shoulder is starting to feel stronger than it has in 25 years. Everyone warned me against CF given my history. One good thing about getting old, I’m way wiser and know when to say when. Most of the time. Ok, sometimes!
A. Matched current PR at 145#. Can’t pull under 155#. Can’t break through the mental block.

I really wish I could do snatches today but I felt like I had to avoid any overhead movements to give some rest to my left shoulder.

A. Snatches to 95- 100# had me letting out a yelp so I stopped plus I could hook grip

A1. Did 3 30 secs hand stand hold.
A2. New PR 65KGs old one 60kgs. Did it with power Snatch. I’m still afraid to get under the bar with 55+kgs.
B. Did it with 50kgs, and L-Seated press with 21kgs, last 3 reps with 16kgs, my left shoulder started to hurt.
A. After a 4×5 overhead squats (Up to 125) + high hang/hand warmup (10min EMOM, 2 reps), went up to 125 for 3 but failed 135 twice. Pull was not confident.
B. Switched HSPU for Pull ups (lack of time).
Snatches 95#. Didn’t get the exact time but under 8 min.
A. Warmed up with some AB, burgener, snatch balance and tall snatches then went up to 105# (tied PR) and 110 (ugly). Main issue is not punching under the bar fast enough. When the weight feels heavier I tend to bring it all up and not squat right away. I feel more stable than I used to, just need more practice I think. More volume of heavier OHS, tall snatches and snatch balances definitely will help when I get to them B.
