Sorry all…. Kind of mentally beat down from my final round of knee shots this week and this wrist thing…. Hoping to get back on track Monday. I have been doing stuff – just adjusting to accommodate.
Lifted in the Barbell Rodeo, USAW sanctioned Oly Meet, hosted at our gym. I had to fight through a bit of adversity today…I think it was stage fright! 😉 Didn’t go quite as I had planned but learned a lot and put me in a spot that really tested my mental toughness. Opened the Snatch with 64kg and proceeded to miss. I had plenty of power on it, but my focal point was off and just felt jittery. B) Modified first round to 83# then went 63# Finished the S.t.O.H. with 63# in 22:00.
I got to 28 pull ups in the last round! I missed the time cap:)
Question/thought for the group…
Is there a FB group for Invictus Masters? If not, could or should there be? I’m an old guy, so I’m not sure how to get it done. Maybe some of you younger types could look into this!

For what its worth, I personally think it would be a great idea to set up a Facebook Invictus Masters Group. We can still post daily workouts here, and use the Facebook group for any other postings, muses, relevant news/articles, questions, etc.

A. Pretty excited, had been doing the dip to support with assist, but with good setup in my gym today was able to do them totally unsupported. Did about 4 sets of 2…hit failure. Did 15 sec L-sits. Skipped StC.

Practicing Cascade classic WODs.
Yesterday: 50c row and 50 #55 DB snatches around 4 min
Today: 2min #185 bench press, 2min rest, 2min #185 clean
28 BP and 17 cleans, 45 reps
Also been practicing a lot of HS walks as I need to get 50′ somehow.
A. Two sets
B. Thought it was a 20 min cap, was at 190 reps at time; then finished the wod at 34:30. Weight scaled to 115 for Back Squats/95 Push Press, 75 Front/75 PP, 45 OHS/45 PP. Feel like I scaled it a lot but my shoulders have been feeling weak, even 95 felt heavy today.
A done.
B got to 310 reps at 22 min finished wod 24:54

B. 314. 135 S2OH sucked the life out of me. Made pull ups that much harder.
Finished 26:27…knee went again last 10 ohs, but finished a bit sloppy.

B. Got through 30 OHS at the 22:00 mark. 2d round of pull-ups took awhile.

Coming back from being sick this week, so modified the metcon by dropping 10#.

B. Missed the cap. Finished 30:10 RX. Squats were BRUTAL.
Well, I woke up today already cramp in my right hamstring but still couldn’t take the rest day because I didn’t feel pain at leg when doing warm up. Some tension but not pain. So I decided to try it out.
Result 300 reps at 22min. I was struggling most at pull-ups. All other movements felt good at overall but pull-ups were slow…
A. Completed, although after the WoD, as I was able to convince folks at the box to do the WoD with me.

C. Later this afternoon, did Karen (got a wall all for home and first use. Karen has been a long time nemesis. Beat my time by I think about 40 seconds- 9:06. Was shooting for 8 something but I will take it). Looking forward to that rest day : )
