For time:
Row 5000 Meters
This is a test. I know it’s not sexy or even fun, but it’s a great test of mental fortitude, stamina and endurance. Hit it hard and record your results to comments.
No additional conditioning today! This is a testing week, and we want to get an accurate gauge of where you all are at.

21:42
19:36 First time doing a 5k, I’ll be working to improve here for sure.
20:08 – kept 160-170 bpm – kept my pace for all the 5000m – felt good
17:26.5, that hurt. 17:45.8 last time.
August 7 = 20:57
Today = 20:54 only 3 seconds but is a progress
18:34
Think I was 15-20 seconds faster last time??♂️
22:42- did not do better than last time…
20:28
2:05 +/- 3 first 4700 m
1:40 +/- 5 last 300 m
20:19 – 5 sec PR
First 2000 felt great. Then at 3500 I thought I wasn’t going to beat my PR and kind of gave up and pace dropped 4 sec/500m. Last 1000 felt great again and was able to increase the pace through the entire 1000. Mind games. Ugh.
Mindset!! Solid work on the PR nonetheless. I hope you’ve read the mindset book and if you have it’s maybe time to read it again 🙂
17:28.1
21.5 second PR
Dude!! That’s legit!! Great work!!
I got third…it was embarrassing.
3 people went sub 17:30, must be something in the water at Sorrento.
Who?!?
Sam was 17:26.5 and Ryan was 17:23
19:13 ✅
