Empty Barbell Movement Primer
Three sets of:
Overhead Squat x 5 reps
(use a progressively narrower grip for every set)
Rest as needed

Followed by…

Two sets of:
Front squat x 5 reps @ 2210
Rest as needed

Followed by…

Two sets of:
1+1/4 Front Squat x 5 reps
Rest as needed

A.
Every 2 minutes, perform:
Front Squat x 1 rep
Set 1 – 70% of 1-RM
Set 2 – 80% of 1-RM
Set 3 – 90% of 1-RM
Set 4 – 95% of 1-RM
Set 5 – 100% of 1-RM
Set 6 – 103% of 1-RM (optional)
Set 7 – 105% of 1-RM (optional)

Ok crew, time to go big. You’ve put in a lot of hard work with the barbell . . . now let’s show off the results.

Every 90 seconds, for 15 minutes (10 sets):
Snatch x 1 rep

Loads per set (by %) – 55, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 101, 101+

C.
Take 15 minutes to build to today’s 1-RM Power Clean & Jerk

D.
For time:
100 Drag Rope Double-Unders or 150 Double-Unders
100-Foot Single-Arm Overhead Walking Lunge (80/60 lbs – 50-foot each arm)
100-Foot Handstand Walk
100-Foot Single-Arm Overhead Walking Lunge
100 Drag Rope Double-Unders or 150 Double-Unders

Handstand Walk alternatives:
For every 50-Foot of Handstand Walk, perform 30 nose-to-wall, back-to-wall or freestanding shoulder taps.

20 Double Kettlebell Walking Lunges
10 Burpee Box Jumps (24″/20″)
20 Sumo Deadlifts (185/135 lbs)

Note-my 1RM was actually 185lbs, but have been running my percentages on 195lbs. So actually added 20lbs since last RM in March.
B. 55 lb/ 65/ 66.5/ 76 / 80.75/ 85.5/ 90.25/ 95.95/ 95.95 ( I really need to work on form.
Ran out of time, started late.

B: 130 (5 lb below, failed at 135)
C: 165 (tie, failed at 175 and squatted to low to count at 170)

E: were KB front rack? I did 12 kg overhead, did the rest

A. Front squats 185/205/225/245/265/280/285 fail
280 post Covid pr. Lifetime pr is 310.
B. Snatch 95/115/135/150/165/175/180/185 fail x3/185
Lifetime pr is 200.
C. Power clean + jerk 135/155/175/185/195/205/215/225/230
Lifetime pr is 250.
D. 14:06 messed up 3 times on first set of dubs and once second set. Hs walks felt good did in sets of 25ft. Lunges were tough but manageable, heaviest single arm oh lunge I’ve tried. Surprised they felt ok.

A) 111kg, which is one 1 kg more than before this cycle and highest in 1,5 years

B) Up to 82kg. Didnt go for more as my legs were already starting to crumple. Hit 86 10 days ago, which also was highest in 1,5 years

C) Solid 100 kg

D) 11:04 with 30 kg – Shoulder burn!

E) Done with 2x 24 kg – Ass burn!

Primer: ✔️ A: 195, 225, 225, 235, 245, missed 255. But hit my 1-RM. that’s the first time in awhile. So I’ll take it B: 105, 120, 130, 140, 150, 165, 175, 190(5# PR) did this until I got it haha. That’s what I told myself, that way it’s a win. Body just doesn’t feel great these days. Definitely feel like I plateaued and have dropped off. I guess I just need to gut it out and work through it.
