Workout of the Day
A.
Three sets, not for time, of:
Alternating Pistols x 10-12 reps
Roll to Candlestick x 6-8 reps
Double-Unders x 40-50 reps

B.
Eight sets of:
Clean x 1.1.1 @ 85+%
(rest 10 seconds between singles)
Rest 2 minutes between sets

C.
Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 Meters
10 Hang Squat Clean (155/105 lbs)

Megan Becker (50/5’5″/135) A. Done, did the first round of pistols in my Nanos — my friend said I was getting to parallel, but not below. Did the other 2 rounds in my lifting shoes and worked on speed. I need to keep trying them in my Nanos just in case they’re paired with running or something. A. Done, pistols and du’s are not my best…
B. Skipped (wrist)
C. 13:22, 55# DB squat clean thrusters, ran fast since I didn’t do B.

A: done
B: 225, 235, 245, 255, 265, 275, 285, 285
C: 15:48

Was B based on 1rm or effort? I thought about trying to start at 285 (85%) but felt heavy for that many reps. No belt or sleeves. Played it safe. Running still needs work. I can always run faster. Took c at about 85 percent effort.

Yep, that was the goal. Tougher goal the heavier your 1-RM though. You probably could have managed 2 at 255, 2 at 265, 2 at 275 and 2 at 285.

A. Done. Pistols getting better but people still laugh at me.
B. 8x3x225
C. 16:44. Felt good to run 400’s. It’s been a while.
D. Ran a few spartan races w my 12 yr old daughter this weekend. Watching her get that rope climb as so many others failed around her was better than anything I’ve ever accomplished in the gym. Just wanted to share.

A. Done. I hope we have pistols at the games.
B. First 4 sets at 185, second 4 sets at 195.
C. 22:29 @ 135lbs. felt really sluggish again today.
