Snatch Press from Receiving x 3 reps

Followed by…

Every 2 minutes, for 12 minutes (6 sets) of:
Hang Snatch + Snatch

Followed by…

Every 2 minutes, for 12 minutes (6 sets) of:
Snatch x 1 rep – all sets at 85-90%

B.
Five sets for times of the following complex:
8/6 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
6/4 Toes-to-Bar
4/2 Bar Muscle-Ups
Rest 90 seconds

Session Two
A.
Take 20 minutes to build to today’s 1-RM Push Press

B.
Three sets of:
Push Press x 3 reps @ 85% or more of today’s 1-RM
Rest as needed

C.
Three sets of:
Dumbbell Floor Press x 8 reps
Rest as needed
Pronated Wide-Grip Strict Pull Ups x Max Reps @ 1111
Rest as needed

D.
Three sets of:
60 seconds of Strict Shoulder Press (95/65 lbs)
Rest 30 seconds
60 seconds of Banded Pull-Aparts
Rest 30 seconds

E.
For completion:
Hollow Body Hold + Sit-Up to L-Sit Hold x 15 reps

followed by…

Tuck Rock to Tuck Press Hold x 30 reps

followed by…

Backward Straddle Scoots x 40 feet

followed by…

Three sets of:
Hand Plank Shoulder Taps x 60 seconds
(perform at max speed)

Work on pushing your pace on the rope climbs to determine what is achievable.

Snatch 220/230/240 Power snatch up to this point and hit 240 power snatch at a bodyweight of 160 for a 10LB PR. Then 245/255/260F. Snatch hasnt felt great for the last 3-4 weeks. Felt great today so went for it.

“2016 CrossFit Regionals Event 5” 11:28- Did this with actual running… used the mat under the GHD (which made these way faster), and then low back was feeling a bit funky so I just used 245 today. Other than my legs feeling like mashed potatoes, I think this will go well. My deadlifts shouldn’t be a problem. Will likely go UB or 5/2 depending on my legs. I am driving a couple hours to run on a true form this weekend just to get a feeling, so I am excited to do that again… just to figure out pacing. Three… Read more »

Glad you’re able to get to use a trueform. Getting done practise will really help. Best tips are to keep your eyes up and hips forward. You want to keep your torso upright as much as possible.

Used 45#s on floor press. Heaviest I’ve ever used! No pullups cause my hand hurts :/

15/14/14 reps on shoulder press. Band pull aparts done.

snatch press from receiving: 55/60/65# Most I’ve done with these.
hang + snatch: built up to 120#
snatch: built to 145# and failed 145#

I did not do the gymnastics complex because I have a nasty ripe in my right hand that keeps opening up on Mondays. It needs to heal. I did not get to conditioning yesterday so i did that instead: Assault bike/reverse sled drag.
Calories: 9/7/8/7×5/8/9
Sled: 70#

Heavy Push Press: Hit 145#, which is my max
Push Press x 3: 125. Overall felt good.

Will do the rest later tonight.

Week Three – Session One Warm up done… Assault bike 8 minutes and 4 minutes… more on my line of warm up. The 10 and 5 were a bit lengthy for me. “2016 CrossFit Regionals Event 3” At 6 minutes I had 46 pull ups… did first set of 27, a bit more tired in the shoulders today. Got a floating wall ball target to it was good to practice to that. Extremely confident on game day you will finish event 4 under the time cap. Great to see that the knee is feeling better! Just make sure you focus more on being healthy for the event rather than trying to push through the pain and make your knee worse. Being healthy at regional is way more important!

I am really hoping so too! With the adrenaline, I hope to get in the zone and just let my brain down regulate any knee pain =) The volume will be tough, but I think it will be alright!

Thank you Tino! The advice last week on full extension in the last pull really helped! I was actually jumping back and catching it perfectly and comfortably, which hasn’t happened for a while!

Didn’t have time for dumbel press, pull ups and band pull apart..will catch this up lter in the week
