Went to The Masters CF Games… so week was a little off. Did Saturdays on Sunday. A. Done B. 12:54 (2:40, 3:35, 6:44) 3rd round was ugly MU 5 / 4,1 / 3,2 HSWalk UB / 15,10 / got ugly 3 bad starts finally got going and went 10,5,5,5. SHSPU 2,2,2,1,1,1,1 / Singles / Singles. Would love insight on breathing techniques when upside down. And is there someone we should send video to for gymnastic critiquing? Traveling so did a 3 partner Saturday WOD. Lots of wallballs and box jump overs. Box has a 30# ball so that was nice to use.
Went back Sunday morning for open gym. Worked up to 350 1RM back squat. Then did some snatching. 3 position drills then worked up to my heaviest snatch. Hit 165, 170,175, Missed 180. Then back to watch final day at the Games!!

Session two complete, total 3.1 miles. Running with friends helps alleviate the pain… jog became a walk

B. 12:58 First round UB in 2:05, HSW did not go well after this and trashed me for the SHSPU. All muscle-ups UB; overall a nice improvement from last week.
C. 16:35 @ 135 Did not do this last week due to lower back. I’m much better today but still tight in my back so did this to hopefully loosen it up some, just kept the weight low enough to not feel any strain from the front squats.
How is the low back feeling Hoke?
I think part C did the trick, after a few minutes of recovery I was walking normal (not all stiff legged and rubbing my back) and forgot I was even having any issues. As of this morning I’m still feeling good.
Now to figure out how to still be aggressive with Dead Lifts and Back Squats and not get set back for 2 weeks at a time. Was making some good progress but feel like I’m off track now.
Can you video your deadlift and back squat next time you do them? I want to see your movement pattern.

Did Crush Games Prelim 3, then every 2 mins for 6 mins hang power snatch + power snatch – worked up to 155#. Immediately followed by every 2 mins for 6 mins – 2 power snatches. Worked up to 185 (dropped between). Now off to Vegas for my 20th anniversary! Back at it Thursday!
