Primary Training Session
A.
Every two minutes, for 12 minutes (6 sets):
Power Clean from Blocks x 1.1.1
(barbell just above the knee on blocks)
Rest as needed
Build to the heaviest triple you can for today.
B.
Four sets of:
Clean Pulls x 3 reps @ 90-95%
Rest as needed
Focus on keeping your chest up off the floor, and speed from the knees to the hips.
C.
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 16 minutes of:
55 Deadlifts (225/155 lbs)
55 Bar Facing Burpees
55 Calorie Row
55 Handstand Push-Ups (kipping is fine)
Optional Additional Work Sessions

Strongman Training Option
A.

100-Foot Harnessed Sled Pulls
immediately followed by…

100-Foot Farmer’s Carry
(as heavy as possible, turn every 50-feet)
immediately followed by…
100-Foot Sandbag Carry

Every minute, on the minute, for as long as possible…
120-Foot Sled Sprints
(use as much weight as you can, but keep the first set or two under 12 seconds; when you can no longer finish the sprint in less than 15 seconds, the workout is over)

Run x 3 minutes @ a pace 5 seconds faster than your mile pace
Jog x 3 minutes
Intermediate:
Five sets of:
Run x 3 minutes @ a pace 5 seconds faster than your mile pace

C. Did prowler pushes inside with 15lbs and a turnaround at 50ft

C. 1 round + 35 deadlifts
Did this at about 85% effort. I’m super sore still and had to move my rest days around this weekend. Want to be fresh for tomorrow!
Woke up late and my gym only has a 9am class so I had to rush..
A. Up to 65kg this made me hit a better position than I normally do
C. Well looking back I realize now it says 155…I did 185 that’s what I get for reading really fast….
I hope your back is ok after that and performed all with double overhand
A) Built up to 310 but only hit 2 of 3 attempts
B) All sets at 310
C) 1 rd + 65 All deadlifts in sets of 10 except first set which was 15 each round. Burpees slow. Row slow. HSPU went quickly. Second round of DLs was brutal. Great workout for open prep.
Great work getting back to those burpees!

Cheers mate, big sets of hspu have been a big weakness so I was trying to save some energy for them but they turned out to be pretty easy, so I guess they aren’t really a weakness anymore haha

Last year on the wod similar to this I gassed at hspu so progress is progress. Wasn’t it a 14 min amrap? Little shorter but the wb are faster than burpees and lighter so I think the words are comprable…
Open workout was 14 minutes with wall balls not bar facing burpees.

Saturdays are always survival after a tough week. It’s like the final day of competition.
A. I wasn’t looking forward to cleans from blocks but I ended up liking it. It forced me to open up! Ended with 145#. B. Pulls done at 175# C. 1 rounds plus 18 deadlifts. I learned a lot today about half way through the hspu I learned that I could go longer than I thought and pushed through the last third differently. Lots of good learning today and this week. Goes to show that intensity tops volume every time and how important trusting your fitness is.
