Dynamic Mobility & Activation
Two sets of 15 meters forward, then 15 meters backwards of each of the following:
The Crab
Rest 60 seconds
The Crab with Push-Ups
Rest 60 seconds
The Rabbit
Rest 60 seconds
The Panther
Rest 60 seconds
The Cricket
Rest 60 seconds

A.
Every minute, on the minute, for 4 minutes (4 sets) of:
Interval 1 – Donkey Kicks to Wall x 10 reps
Interval 2 – Kick to Handstand practice x 45 seconds

Followed by. . .

Every 30 seconds, for 3 minutes (3 sets) of:
Interval 1 – Freestanding Handstand Marching x 16 reps
60+: Handstand Marching Against Wall
Interval 2 – Handstand Walk x 2-3 meters

Followed by. . .

Every 30 seconds, for 3 minutes (3 sets) of:
Interval 1 – Single Leg Thigh Taps x 10 reps
Interval 2 – Handstand Walk x 2-3 meters

Followed by. . .

Every minute, on the minute, for 3 minutes (3 sets) of complex:
Handstand Walk x max effort (until 10 seconds to the next set)

Followed by. . .

Two-Three sets of:
Strict Handstand Push Up Negatives

40-49: 4/2″ Deficit
50-59: No deficit
60+: 2″ riser

B.
Every minute, on the minute, for 5 minutes, complete:
Tall Jerks x 2 reps

immediately followed by . . .

Every 2 minutes, for 10 minutes, complete (5 sets):
Jerk from behind the neck x 1 rep @ 75-80%*

Pleasue use blocks.

C.
Every 3 minutes, for 15 minutes, complete:
Back Squat x 4-5 reps @ 75-80%

D.
For max reps:
Against a 4 minute clock, complete:
Run 400 Meters
Double-Unders x 50 reps
Burpee Box Jump-Overs x Max Reps (24/20″)
Rest 2 minutes; Repeat for 4 sets

55+: Step-overs okay

B – Tall jerks done. BTN at 180#.

D – 20/16/16/16. DUs were uncharacteristically a little bumpy.

Ok I’m on vacation but we love the box here do we worked out with them.
A. 3 rm deadlift made it to 385 and they felt great.
B. 12 min AMRAP

12 GHD sit ups

C. Tall jerks

D. No blocks for jerks so went lighter

Felt much faster getting under being tired.

1 set ea of Julien’s exercises- those are challenging!
A. All Done! I was a little confused on the max effort HS walk, was I supposed to walk for 50 secs on my hands, rest 10, and repeat 2 more times? That was hard!

It’s not 100% yet! I can still feel it! Been doing a lot of mobilizing and strengthening exercises for it! Trying to be patient with it, I’m just not very good at that though!

A. Practiced until I started getting a headache from being upside down ? Deviated a bit on the SHSPU begs, did one set then tried some actual SHSPU – got 4! It’s definitely the magic mat I bought 😉
B. 60kg for the jerks
C. 5@75kg across
D. 9-12-12-12 burpees – runs were the usual slow 2:00, DU’s unbroken and still working on trusting I can jump on a box when legs are fatigued.

Did the strongman stuff from the other day in the AM, rested a few hours then:

C. 5 reps at 80% across (245#)
D. 15/14/14/13 – no legs for this one. Runs at 1:45, tripped up 1 time each round on the dubs (right around #40), and felt like I was jumping out of mud on the BBJO.

That’s exactly how I felt. Legs felt super heavy, so I tripped 1-2x every set of 50 DUs and the burpee box jump overs were tough.

Mobility and HS Skill work – done! I was surprised how tiring the animal series was. Could only go about 5m with the Cricket. Julien is an ANIMAL!
B. bar/55/55 – stopped here (short on time)

D. 1) 1:40 run, ub dubs, 25 bbj 2) 1:41, 7/43, 23 bbj 3) 1:43, 42/8, 23 bbj 4) 1:45, ub, 24 bbj So happy my back is sorting itself out quickly. Thanks Rob! Those burpees hurt. I’m starting to feel like I can trust in the recovery between sets. That being said, I would not have wanted to do a 5th set!

Despite owning a tiny CF affiliate, I do have a couple of younger guys who want to train with me. It works out twice a week in a good week. Otherwise, it is solo like you.
