Primary Strength Session
A.
Every 90 seconds, for 9 minutes (6 sets):
2 Snatch Push Presses + 1 Snatch Balance
Build over the course of the 6 sets, but understand the goal is activation and positioning, not maximal loading.
B.
Every 90 seconds, for 15 minutes (10 sets):
2 Snatch Lift-Offs + Snatch from Mid-Patella
(pause 2 seconds at mid patella on each of the lift-offs)
Build from approximately 70% to today’s heavy. If you miss, reduce the load and repeat that set. If you miss twice, move to the next portion of the workout.
C.
Back Squat
*Set 1 – 5 reps @ 65-70%
*Set 2 – 3 reps @ 75-80%
*Set 3 – 1 rep @ 85-90%
Rest 2-3 minutes
D.
Every two minutes, for 10 minutes (5 sets):

Snatch Lift/Snatch:
Up to 185. Very pleased with this Chinese rows and banded marches at lunch I could tell helped A LOT.
Then hang snatched 195 without the liftoffs. Never done more than 185 in a hang, so that’s a PR.
Stayed reserved on the BS still. Built to 85% then did my sets of 4 around 78%. Feeling better week by week.
Metcon: did leisurely. pretty damn beat at this point. did 1600m bike, 20 lunges, 7 mu x 4.

Took me and my husband a LONG time to recover. I am not sure if I am recovered yet, haha!
a) 25-42.5kg, I don’t think I ever done a heavy snatch balance before.
b) worked up to 50kg, hit it once. Failed 3x after that at 50kg. Not a good snatch day.

d) 5×4 at 81kg. Looks like everyone suffered through the squats 🙁
GG Qualifier … no comment. Scaled to 3 BJO to complete each round and did 3 G2OH and subbed C2B instead of MU

Not bad! Out of 11 teams my teammate and I tied for 6th place!
A. Worked up to 225 on the snatch push press and balance B. Worked up to 215, failed at 225. This position feels a little odd to me bc I either way to above the knee or 2 inch below the knee. C. 285×5, 310×3, 350×1 D. 345… 1st set felt super heavy so I bumped it down to 330. All this volume has 345 for 4 for 5 sets nearly impossible.. is this normal? like that my body isnt used to this volume. Feeling a little weak with my back squat lol. Haha nice job Ryan. Looks like your body is adapting. Hang in there on the squats and continue to base your numbers a little lower.
I was actually gonna base them lower today to get the full work in on the emom. Ill do that friday (guessing the friday squats will stick) and next monday. Thanks Tino
