March 19, 2021 – Competition Program

**You will notice that we have differentiated AM and PM sessions for today. If your schedule allows for it then please complete the Deep Learning Session in the morning and 21.2 Event in the PM.

If your schedule does not allow for two sessions in one day then perform the Deep Learning Session (omit AM Movement Primer), rest until fully recovered, and then tackle the designated PM sessions that will have you primed and ready for 21.2.**

Strategy Considerations and Preparation Notes
Please click the link below for our full list of preparation notes to help you all perform to the best of your ability and start the season off on the right foot. For years we reserved these notes only for our personal clients, but we’ve been blessed with the growth of this Invictus Athlete community, and we want to see you all succeed this season.

Had to scale to use a 20 inch box since that’s all I have at home. Poor planning on my part…

Not mad, but also not stoked. Felt great leading up to the open, here lately not so much. Learning experience. Already looking forward to “off-season” to continue sharpening the sword.

21.2 Rx – 12:24
17.1 Rx – ~16:45
Improvement came from the DB snatches. These have become a real strength for me. Went UB for all today. More efficient by staying back on heels and driving with legs. In 2017 I remember breaking into sets of 10 and using my back a lot. Kept a relatively steady pace on the BBJO. Did it by myself but I think I’d break 12 if I had some competition.

I did the “deep learning” then about an hour later I just felt ready so I sent it.
2017= 11:45 rx
2021 = 11:02 rx

Extremely pumped with my effort, lesson learned I adjusted the box about 5 times and that would’ve put me under 11. In 2017 I remember putting weights beside box to hold it. Tip for anyone who’s yet to do it.

Didn’t do in 2017
Today: 14:30 RX

Not sure what happened, everything felt heavy, couldn’t really hype myself into it and probably tried to overthink the whole and ended up being sloppy.
Wanted really to stop after the 40 snatches, because i already knew it’s going to be a really bad time and have to redo anyway, but finished for some reason…
Not doing any weightlifting in the last 1.5 month “paid off”…#angry

15:25 Rx. I was 23 seconds slower today than 2017. I’m also 10-15 pounds heavier haha. Burpee pace slowed on the last two sets. Not sure if I really learned anything. Do better? ????
