Gymnastic Skill Development
Every minute, on the minute, for 9 minutes:
Interval 1 – Baby Butterfly Pull-Ups x 6-10 reps OR Kipping Half Pull-Ups x 6-10 reps
Interval 2 – Kipping or Butterfly Pull-Ups x 6-10 reps (focus on perfect mechanics)
Interval 3 – Wall Sit x 45 seconds

Rest until the 12 minute mark, and then …

Every minute, on the minute, for 6 minutes:
Interval 1 – Nose to Wall Handstand Hold x 45 seconds OR Wall Walks x 3 reps
Interval 2 – Double Unders x Max Reps in 30 seconds

A.
Every 3 minutes, for 18 minutes (6 sets) of:
Pause Front Squat x 2 reps @ 32X1

Build over the course of the 6 sets to today’s heavy double, adhering to the tempo.

B.
Every 10 minutes, for 30 minutes (3 sets), complete:
Run 800 Meters
20 DB Hang Squat Clean Thrusters
20 Toes-to-Bar

35-54: 50/35 lbs
55+: 35/20 lbs

If you have less than 30 seconds of rest, please reduce the reps to 15 reps.

If you struggle with toes-to-bar, then try these progressions:
Knees to Elbows
Supine Leg Raises while holding the Rack

Moving to Singapore for 3 years. Have about 2 months in the States (Texas, Ohio, DC, WV, FL, Hawaii) doing training/transition. Going to be a long summer, but it should be awesome once we get there.

Did section D as seconde session with Clean Pull Drills.
Had to scale Supine Plank to high Parralette.

Getting better. Seems to be more of a glute compensation thing. Hope to be running amd jumping again within the next 2 weeks.

Gymnastics done. The baby butterfly really helped me. Will video next time, short on time today so just went in and got it done. 6 butterfly each set, need to work on these more.
Double unders 39/44/50. I think 50 in a row is a record ?

Long but great day today. 🙂 AM: gymnastics lesson (with JR!): we worked on strict dips, jumping mu, false grip pulls, weighted fg pulls, spotted strict mu, and spotted shspu. It was a great lesson. PM: DMA done! gymnastics skills done. I am spectacularly bad at baby butterfly, but tbh I have not spent any time working on those since I have a few other fish to fry first (mu, shspu, smu). Had to skip the gymnastics skill work, my arms and lats hurt too much trying to even hang. CrossOver Symmetry was a struggle also but I managed to complete it. A) Pause Front Squat – went ok. 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 / 115 / 120 B) I nearly bailed out on the WOD because I had a really bad headache but thought I’d try one round, but ended up doing all three in the end. Yesterday’s session after my flights from India via Dubai. Everything felt heavy today, but I got it done.
A. Slow pull cleans up to 54 kg
B. Jerk balance at 37 kg, felt good. Behind the neck jerks at 47 and 50 kg. Felt okay.
C. Five sets with 10 cal and seven sets with 11 cal. Total 135 cal. 75-80 % is between 57-58 RPM for me.
D. Completed
Additional:
I plan to do the second part of the additional session tomorrow.

B. Subbed 35 Cal Assault Bike for runs.
All sets of hang clean thrusters and t2b done in 12/8. Grip and shoulders got pretty rocked. Took longer breaks between 12/8 on the thrusters in second and third rounds. Most everything else was the same.

C. No time
Going to do some gymnastics work later.
