Masters Qualifier Day Three
SECOND ATTEMPT DAY
If you believe you need a second attempt at any of the first three workouts, I would suggest you do so today. You should be able to take another crack at a new 1-RM Clean, and then follow that up with either a re-do of Event 2 or 3 – whichever you believe you’ll be able to pick up the best improvement with.
If you opt to repeat either Event 2 or 3, that should be all you do today, and you will then take your first and only crack at Event 4 on Monday.

“Event 4 – 100 Pull-Ups + 100 Wall Ball Shots”
For time:
100 Pull-Ups
100 Wall Ball Shots
**See the CrossFit Games website for variations by age division.

Redo of event 3 today (twice because of a video snafu) 11:09 in morning then 11:00 in afternoon. Hope to have some legs left for event 4 on Monday.
Need some insight …. I’m saving Amanda until Monday because I’ve only come close to muscle up a few weeks ago so the odds of me finishing that wod are slim to none. Still not sure if any reps count if I don’t finish it? Does it make sense to repeat any of the other events or should I just attempt Amanda and call it good and just get stronger and faster for next year ? Thank you for everything !
It’s all or none. I had very little hope for this event as well, but finished in 25:00, doing one MU every 30-40 sec. Before Amanda, I had done maybe 10 MU sporadically in the past 6 months… so I was definitely not confident about them. I am so thankful for this WOD because it forced me to keep doing them until I finished. I am now hopeful that the timing and skill is engrained in me so I can confidently bust them out!
Thank you Carrie !!! And congratulations .. That is fantastic 🙂
I’m going for it 🙂
It is all or nothing, and while I am excited for all those who give it a go and surprise themselves, I also want you to be a little bit cautious about your shoulder if it becomes irritated by the repeated muscle-ups. If you didn’t have an existing shoulder injury I would say go for it all out, but as is, be mindful throughout and know when to call it if it will do more harm than good.
Thank you CJ ! I rested today and will give Amanda a few attempts tomorrow if I’m healthy after repeating HSPU event which I struggled through with my shoulder last Friday. If it’s not meant to be I can still feel good to have had the opportunity to compete at this next level. Congrats to all of the amazing athletes !
